Is the Bilt Palladium Card Worth It?

The core value of the Bilt Palladium Card can be summarized as:

2X Everyday Spend + US$200 Bilt Cash + US$400 Hotel Credit + Priority Pass

Compared with the Bilt Blue Card’s 1X everyday earning rate and the Bilt Obsidian Card’s 3X Dining / Grocery choice, Palladium provides a simple 2X earning rate across eligible everyday purchases.

For high-spending users who prefer not to manage bonus categories and can take advantage of Bilt Travel benefits, Palladium can work well as a primary spending card.

US$200 Annual Bilt Cash

Bilt Palladium Card provides:

US$200 Bilt Cash per year

Bilt Cash can be used for eligible benefits within the Bilt ecosystem, including Housing Rewards, Bilt Travel, and other qualifying redemptions.

When Flexible Bilt Cash is selected, eligible Everyday Spend can earn:

2X Bilt Points + 4% Bilt Cash

For a complete explanation of how Bilt Cash works, see the Bilt Rewards Complete Guide.

US$400 Bilt Travel Hotel Credit

Bilt Palladium Card provides up to:

US$400 Bilt Travel Hotel Credit per year

The credit is divided into two six-month periods:

January–June: US$200
July–December: US$200

The credit applies to eligible hotel reservations of at least two nights booked through Bilt Travel. Unused credits do not roll over to the next six-month period.

If you can fully use the US$400 Hotel Credit each year, it can offset most of the card’s US$495 annual fee.

Priority Pass

Bilt Palladium Card includes a Priority Pass Membership, providing access to the Priority Pass airport lounge network.

For frequent travelers, this is one of the Palladium Card’s main premium travel benefits compared with the Blue and Obsidian cards.

Housing Rewards

Bilt Palladium Card also offers two Housing Rewards options:

Housing-only Rewards → Up to 1.25X on eligible Housing Payments

or:

Flexible Bilt Cash → 2X Everyday Spend + 4% Bilt Cash

Under Flexible Bilt Cash, Bilt Cash can be used to enable eligible Housing Payments to earn up to 1X Bilt Points.

Bilt Card Application Rules & Restrictions

Bilt Card 2.0 cards are issued by Column N.A., Member FDIC, with Cardless providing card servicing.

Key application considerations include:

  • Bilt does not publish a fixed minimum Credit Score.
  • Approval may consider Credit History, Income, Existing Debt, and other credit information.
  • Applicants can check whether they are approved without affecting their Credit Score.
  • Manual Review does not necessarily mean the application has been declined.
  • If declined, applicants may reapply after 45 days under Bilt’s current rules.
  • Bilt Card 2.0 no longer has the old 5 Transactions Requirement.

Bilt does not publish a simple application restriction comparable to Chase 5/24. Eligibility and approval remain subject to Bilt’s current terms and underwriting criteria.

Can Foreign Applicants Apply for the Bilt Palladium Card?

The Bilt Palladium Card is a U.S. credit card, and applicants must meet the issuer’s identity and credit underwriting requirements.

Approval may consider factors including U.S. Credit History, Income, and Existing Debt, and Bilt does not publish a minimum Credit Score that guarantees approval.

Foreign applicants who have not yet established U.S. credit history can consider starting with American Express Global Transfer, using an eligible existing American Express relationship outside the U.S. to apply for a U.S. Amex card and begin building U.S. credit history.

A practical path is:

American Express Global Transfer → U.S. Amex → Build 6–12 Months of U.S. Credit History → Bilt Palladium Card

For foreign applicants, the Bilt Palladium Card is generally better considered after establishing some U.S. credit history rather than as a first U.S. credit card.
