Haneda Airport Amex Centurion Lounge Review 2026: Sushi, Ozaki Beef, Cocktails, Showers & Access Guide

The American Express Centurion Lounge at Tokyo Haneda Airport opened in July 2025, becoming the first Centurion Lounge in Japan. It combines Japanese-inspired interiors, freshly prepared sushi, Ozaki Beef dishes, a signature cocktail bar, and private shower facilities in one premium airport lounge.

I visited the Haneda Airport Centurion Lounge on October 27, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and photographed the entrance, reception, seating areas, sushi counter, buffet, bar, and shower facilities.

The highlights of my visit were the freshly prepared sushi, Ozaki Beef Curry, and a signature cocktail called Blue Bird. This review covers the actual lounge experience, dining hours, facilities, and entry requirements for eligible American Express cards issued in the United States and Japan.

How to Find the Lounge

After completing security and immigration in Haneda Terminal 3, follow the international departure gates toward Gate 114.

Near the gate, look for the escalators and elevators leading to the airline lounge level. The Centurion Lounge is located on Level 4 and appears on the lounge directory signage.

The Entrance

The entrance features a dark mosaic wall and an illuminated THE CENTURION sign.

Dark finishes, wood accents, and warm lighting create an understated but distinctly premium atmosphere before entering the lounge.

Centurion Black Card: Priority Check-In, VIP Room & Premium Drinks

The Haneda lounge has a separate Priority Check-in for Centurion Card Members lane at reception.

This is distinct from the regular check-in line for Platinum and Delta Reserve cardholders.

Centurion members also have access to a dedicated VIP Room offering a more private seating environment.

Another difference is the selection of premium beverages. Reported Centurion-only offerings have included Veuve Clicquot Champagne and Yamazaki 12-Year Single Malt Whisky.

However, the main sushi counter, Ozaki Beef dishes, buffet, and standard cocktail bar are shared with eligible Platinum members. There is no completely separate Centurion-only restaurant.

The main distinction is therefore the private VIP space, priority check-in, and additional premium beverage selection.

🛋️ Lounge Interior: Japan Blue & Contemporary Japanese Design

The interior incorporates deep blue tones inspired by Japan Blue, along with wood lattice details, dark surfaces, and warm lighting.

Instead of one large uniform seating hall, the lounge includes different areas for dining, drinking, working, and relaxing.

Central Bar and Open Seating

The large central bar is one of the lounge’s most recognizable features.

Deep-blue tiles, wooden ceiling details, and warm accent lighting give the space a contemporary Japanese aesthetic.

High stools line the bar, while surrounding areas provide sofas, small tables, and window-side seating.

A Quieter Seating Area

Away from the main bar, the lounge also offers a quieter seating section.

This area features carpeting, individual lounge chairs, small round tables, and large blue floral artwork.

Compared with the busier bar area, this section is better suited to travelers who simply want to relax before boarding.

The lounge also provides complimentary Wi-Fi, charging facilities, and a dedicated phone room.

🍣 Dining Review: Fresh Sushi, Ozaki Beef Curry & Buffet

The food was one of the strongest parts of my visit.

During my 6:00–7:00 PM visit, sushi chefs were preparing dishes at the live counter, while the buffet featured Ozaki Beef Curry and other Japanese-inspired selections.

Dining Hours and Live Kitchen Schedule

The lounge offers different dishes throughout the day.

TimeDining Service
8:00–11:30 AMBreakfast, including rice balls and egg dishes
11:30 AM–4:00 PMLunch live kitchen, including ramen and mini burgers
4:00–8:00 PMEvening live kitchen, featuring freshly prepared sushi
11:30 AM–9:30 PMAll-day buffet service

I visited from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, during the evening sushi service. Sushi chefs were actively preparing food, and the counter also featured Ozaki Beef-related ingredients.

Freshly Prepared Sushi

The sushi counter displays a selection of seafood, salmon roe, and other ingredients, with chefs preparing sushi in front of guests.

This is noticeably different from the prepackaged or self-service sushi commonly found in airport lounges.

I picked up two plates of sushi during my visit, including different seafood selections, salmon roe, and beef sushi.

Having freshly prepared sushi available in an airport lounge is one of the most distinctive features of the Haneda Centurion Lounge.

Ozaki Beef: A Japanese Specialty

Ozaki Beef is a distinctive Japanese wagyu brand from Miyazaki Prefecture, associated with cattle producer Muneharu Ozaki.

The sushi area prominently displays Ozaki Beef branding, and the ingredient also appears in other dishes throughout the lounge.

This gives the dining experience a stronger Japanese identity than a typical international airport buffet.

Ozaki Beef Curry

One of the hot buffet dishes during my visit was Ozaki Beef Curry.

The serving station clearly displayed the Ozaki Beef Curry name, with rice and accompaniments available nearby.

Unlike the sushi counter, this is a self-service dish, but it adds another recognizable Japanese specialty to the food selection.

Salad Bar and Cold Selections

The buffet also includes a selection of leafy greens, vegetables, fruit, cold dishes, and dressings.

These lighter options provide a useful contrast to the sushi, curry, and other hot dishes.

Other Japanese Dishes and Desserts

Beyond sushi and Ozaki Beef, the lounge features ramen, Japanese-style desserts, and other dishes.

Chef Satoshi Ogino has contributed to the Japanese dining concept, helping distinguish the lounge from a conventional international airport buffet.

🍸 Cocktail Bar Review: Trying the Blue Bird

The central bar is more than a place to grab a drink. It is one of the defining visual features of the entire lounge.

Behind the counter is a selection of spirits, wines, and other beverages, while the signature cocktail menu offers drinks developed for the Haneda lounge.

Signature Cocktail Menu

The menu I photographed featured five signature cocktails:

CocktailStyle
Blue BirdA signature cocktail with a light, elegant presentation
Autumn LeavesTea and maple-inspired flavors
Silent MoonFruit and cultured-milk-inspired elements
Rose WhisperSparkling wine and berry-inspired flavors
Green SoldierWhisky, matcha, lemon, and plum-inspired flavors

My Blue Bird Cocktail

I ordered the Blue Bird, the first cocktail listed on the menu.

It arrived in a shallow stemmed cocktail glass, with a pale golden appearance and a lemon garnish on the rim.

This was the signature cocktail I personally tried during the visit.

Additional Drinks for Centurion Members

Platinum cardholders can enjoy the standard cocktail menu and shared bar facilities.

Centurion Black Card members have access to additional premium beverage options, including reported selections such as Veuve Clicquot Champagne and Yamazaki 12-Year Whisky.

The main bar remains shared, while Centurion members also have their dedicated VIP Room.

🚿 Shower Facilities: Entrance, Amenities & Interior

The Haneda Centurion Lounge also has private shower facilities.

For travelers departing on long-haul international flights, being able to shower before boarding can be more useful than simply having another seating area.

During my visit, I photographed the shower entrance, hallway, interior, and amenities.

Shower Entrance and Hallway

The corridor leading toward the shower facilities uses dark finishes, wood accents, and soft lighting consistent with the rest of the lounge.

Restroom and shower signage is visible along the hallway.

Guests should ask the reception team about shower availability and any waiting arrangements.

Inside the Shower Room

The shower room has its own private space, including a shower, sink, mirror, and grooming area.

The interior features dark stone-like wall finishes, a wooden countertop, a hairdryer, and toiletries.

The shower itself includes both an overhead rainfall shower and a handheld showerhead.

Rather than feeling like a basic airport shower cubicle, the design follows the same premium aesthetic as the rest of the lounge.

Are the Showers Worth Using?

For travelers heading onto a long-haul flight, a private shower can make the departure experience considerably more comfortable.

Availability depends on how many guests are using the facilities, so it is best to ask about the shower soon after entering rather than waiting until boarding time.

⚖️ Is the Haneda Centurion Lounge Worth Arriving Early For?

Based on my visit, three features make this lounge stand out.

Fresh Sushi and Ozaki Beef

The live sushi counter and Ozaki Beef dishes make the food experience more distinctive than a standard self-service airport buffet.

If freshly prepared sushi is your priority, the evening dining period is especially appealing.

A Proper Cocktail Bar

The large central bar is one of the most visually memorable spaces in the lounge.

Its signature cocktail menu adds another dimension to the experience beyond the usual beer, wine, and basic spirits.

Private Shower Facilities

The shower rooms offer a practical benefit for long-haul travelers, with grooming amenities and a comfortable private setting.

If you already hold an eligible American Express Platinum, Centurion, or qualifying Delta Reserve card and are departing internationally from Haneda Terminal 3, this lounge is worth making time for.

🏁 Final Verdict: Haneda Amex Centurion Lounge Review

As Japan’s first American Express Centurion Lounge, the Haneda location combines Japanese cuisine, a premium cocktail bar, contemporary interiors, and private shower facilities in one space.

During my October 27, 2026 visit from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the evening sushi counter was operating, and I was able to see Ozaki Beef Curry, the salad buffet, and the full signature cocktail menu.

I also ordered the Blue Bird cocktail and photographed the seating areas and shower facilities.

For eligible American Express cardholders departing from Haneda Terminal 3, this lounge offers more than a place to sit before boarding. Its live Japanese dining, bar experience, and shower facilities make it a worthwhile stop before an international flight.
